Federica Narancio is a journalist from Montevideo, Uruguay. She worked in the newspaper El Pais, Uruguay, for two years as a reporter in the metro news section.
In 2006, she won a Fulbright scholarship to pursue her M.A. in Print Journalism at American University in Washington, D.C.
Her work has been published in the online newspaper Middle East Times (www.metimes.com) and in newspapers owned by McClatchy (www.mcclatchydc.com), including the Miami Herald and The Sacramento Bee.
Now she is working as a full-time contractor at the Latin American division of Voice of America, doing work for television and for the Web site, www.voanews.com/spanish.
